Funding for Dutch start-ups in India

Dutch startups targeting India will soon be able to get funding from the Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF). Until recently, this fund of the Dutch government focused only on SMEs - but now the fund will therefore also open to startups with boundless ambitions.

Funding for Startups in India
On March 28, the kickoff of DGGF for Startups will be at the Impact Hub in Amsterdam. The kickoff will focus on funding for startups in emerging markets like India. In addition, startups can explore their eligibility for the DGGF in speed dates with investment managers of the fund. After the event in Amsterdam, sessions will follow in Eindhoven (April 6), Wageningen (April 20) and Rotterdam (May 11).

Loans and technical support
Companies can get funding to introduce and/or produce an existing product in India. Funding is also available for innovative Dutch startups that want to develop a new product for India or have it produced there. DGGF makes support available in the form of loans and technical assistance. It is complementary to the existing financing possibilities of the Dutch Good Growth Fund.

Dutch Good Growth Fund
The Dutch Good Growth Fund is part of Minister Ploumen's Aid & Trade policy. This policy is aimed at promoting trade and making development aid redundant. To promote trade, the fund supports startups in conquering new markets such as India. In this way the Dutch government indirectly contributes to knowledge transfer, production improvement and employment in India - traditional development aid goals.
